What is a Team Environment?
Book What Works for You
Because we operate in a true team environment, clients have the freedom to book whenever they need, with any technician available. Unlike other salons where clients become "mine" or "yours," we all work as a team. If you have a preferred technician, feel free to ask for that person. If that person isn't available, please know that you can schedule with anyone else, and there are never any hard feelings about that. This makes it more convenient for our clients, and also more convenient for our stylists, who have demands outside of work that might not always coordinate with your schedule. All of our stylists have access to notes about your service history and formulas, which means you will always be in good hands, no matter who you see.

Can I Work at Cultures?
Employment Opportunities:
We are always interested in talking to potential employees. Cultures employees receive an hourly wage, paid training, bonus opportunities, and other perks. We do not accept booth rent or commissioned service providers. If you are interested in working in a team-based environment, where you can improve your skills and help others do the same, we would love to talk to you. Resumes are accepted by email, mail, or in person. We will contact you to schedule an interview after review of your resume, if we have a hiring need at that time.

Who's In Charge?
Our Owner
A graduate in cosmetology from Idaho State University, Michelle Lindsay is an American Board Certified Haircolorist and stylist with over 20 years experience, including 14 years as a salon owner and six years as a salon consultant. Michelle has participated in extensive, educator-level training with many of the leading manufacturers and artists in the industry. She is a licensed instructor in Utah, with several thousand post-graduation hours of advanced color training and education. Michelle is currently a member of the L'Oreal Professionnel Artistic Technical Team.
In April 2012, Michelle completed the requirements to become a nationally certified haircolorist, the first in the State of Utah. In her certification exam, where less than 50% of the applicants passed, Michelle received the highest score of all candidates in the Interactive portion, which assesses the colorists' ability to solve complex, real-world haircolor correction scenarios and present justification for their answers.
About her accomplishment, Andre Nizetich, President of ABCH and Ranked #8 in Top 40 Hair Colorists in America said, “Michelle Lindsay is a skillful and competent haircolorist. Receiving the high score in the Interactive portion of the examination indicates her decision making qualities are exemplary. We are very proud of her accomplishments."
In June 2012, Michelle had two clients place in the Top 10 of the L’Oreal Professionnel DIA Haircolor contest, and was chosen as the overall winner of the national competition by a panel of haircolor experts, winning a trip to the L’Oreal Professionnel SOHO academy for herself, and a trip to Paris, France for her client.
